Active in the tanning sector since 1953, Fratelli Carlessi has conquered its international reputation with a range of products ranging from drying and conditioning systems to painting lines. At Simac Tanning Tech 2021 its presence focused on the main specific models for air conditioning and drying: the CRC model (top of the range) and S-CRC as regards drying and conditioning of leathers on frames, and the new stick dryer MCC.
MCC – Multiple Cells Conditioner MCC is the latest conditioning and drying system by Fratelli Carlessi, and represents the perfect combination of the CRC cell oven technology and the stick drying system. The MCC cell handling system allows continuous processing with the use of separate climatic chambers. Each climatic chamber MCC allows to perform independent drying and conditioning cycles with variable temperature, humidity and ventilation profiles. The hides contained in the cell are loaded into the next cell in a single automatic movement, keeping the pack under treatment separate from the others, and ensuring the same drying condition. By having separate climatic cells with hides in the same drying condition, MCC ensures greater control in the treatment. MCC is thus independent of production and environmental variables, guaranteeing a uniform and repeatable treatment. The counter-current ventilation system of the MCC climatic chambers ensures uniform drying, while the MCC double chain transport system avoids any contamination between the moving parts and the hides being processed.

The modular construction of MCC cells allows the engineers of Fratelli Carlessi to find the best solution that allows you to work any type of leather, whatever its size. With the development of the MCC system, Fratelli Carlessi has also designed the exit of the hides at the end of the drying process with a fully automated unloading system. It is no longer necessary to have an operator who takes care of detaching the treated leather from the sticks and depositing it on pallets: MCC does everything by itself.
CRC – Cell Rotary Conditioner The most versatile drying and conditioning system on the market suitable for both grained articles and still and smooth items with excellent results in surface, cutting yield and quality. The independent cell technology makes it possible to standardise all the hides of the same batch and of different batches regardless of the retanning, type and thickness of the hides and regardless of whether the batch is loaded in the evening or stopped for lunch. The new air flow allows you to dry at lower temperatures, enhancing the leather quality without increasing drying times and offering advanced energy savings compared to traditional ones. There are many options for working chrome-free leathers. CRC is technologically advanced for maximum optimisation of leather tensioning. During conditioning, the leathers are tensioned according to their resistance degree, bringing them to their maximum surface development, without reaching the breaking point due to defects. CRC is able to read the development capacity of each individual skin and fits with amazing expansion results.
