The product, a flagship of the Abbiategrasso-based company specializing in the production of shoe nails and tacks, is the result of the collaboration with POLI.design – of the Milan Polytechnic.
The historic company, whose mission has always been to innovate in the respect of the environment and humans, offers the market a wide range of custom-made nails with different finishings made of recycled and recyclable material. Among them is Staket, a patented product born from the collaboration with POLI.design – of the Polytechnic University of Mila. Staket is a nail able to guarantee a strong, performing and controlled fastening and, above all, which can be applied in different types of footwear, including sneakers. In addition to being compatible with all the automatic machines that are used in footwear production, the tests carried out have confirmed its performance aspect in several aspects: from the guarantee of flexibility, to the reduction of inaccuracies, and even stability over time. Moreover, in accordance with the brand’s philosophy, Staket permits to reduce the use of adhesives, Polyester and Polyamides in production and limits the possible side effects related to the bonding process. In fact, mechanical fastening ensures the absence of inhalation of toxic substances for workers that are harmful to health. Like all of Metallurgica Lombarda’s products, Staket can be recycled an infinite number of times, attesting to the Italian company’s commitment and integrity to global sustainable footwear.
